Drop Cloths are also used as a pillow cover, bed skirt, couch cover and a lot of things if you are creative enough. In our next blog, we will give you tips on some awesome projects you can make using your drop cloth.
But first, before we can create any project, we can also consider on bleaching our drop cloth to make it white and soft. We have heard of some people having a hard time in bleaching their drop cloth successfully so we have prepared a couple of tips to help you out!
Before you start bleaching your drop cloth, you need to remember two important things.
1. How much bleach do you need?
2. For how long should you bleach your drop cloth?
The answer to those questions above holds the key to a successful drop cloth bleaching. Typically, you need at least 8-10 hours cycle using your Top Loader and at least half a gallon of bleach. Yes! That's what you need!
What if I don't have a Top Loader? Well, you can use your bathtub! But first, you need to make sure that the surface of your tub can stand the bleaching ingredients.
When bleaching, you may need a lot of water and make sure not to pour the bleach directly into your drop cloth. Only pour the bleach once the water is full then add some hot water as well. This will help soften your drop cloth.
That's it! Run your top loader for like 4 hours, then agitate your drop cloth. Run it again for another 4 hours and agitate it some more! Agitating your drop cloth will help in spreading the bleach evenly.
After the cycle, wash your drop cloth with detergent and your done! Remember, you need patience while doing this task and the result will be very rewarding!
